I searching more and more for a Frontier Pro-4x
Found a few in Quebec with a manual.
Think this might be the next WaCkO mobile. (needs more money first)
plan is to replace the wife’s Elantra with a 2014-2015 Frontier, then give her my 7 passenger 2014 Pathfinder, since we have kido # 4 on the way.
What’s OPPO’s thoughts on the Frontier

I’m an ‘05 Pathfinder owner - same basic mechanicals. Sturdy and reliable as hell other than the trans cooler issue (which is auto only). Drives like a truck (duh), 9/10 would recommend with a manual.

i saw one today, lifted big tires & a big LED lightbar. The noise coming from the tires on the highway was amazingly loud

I’ve got a 2015 Xterra Pro-4x, which is 98% the same vehicle. It’s been fantastic for me. People whine about the plastic fantastic interior, but in my life the thing is usually full of huskies, tools, camping equipment, or all of the above. So it makes keeping it clean super easy. So far at 55k miles with zero issues. (i also had a first gen 2000 Xterra that went 180k with nothing major)
I also off-road it a lot and it’s a hero with the rear locker. I’m forever recovering the Monteros my friends whee. Drove it to colorado from NH for a month and did a ton of mountain climbing in it, handled everything like a champ. A number one, would buy again.

I didn’t know until last night that you could get a Pathfinder (08+) with the 5.6 V8. I remember test driving a Titan and thinking it was a strong engine. Curious how it performs in the Pathfinder.

Yeah, it was only available in the top of the line LE trim. I’ve never driven one, but the VQ40DE in mine is plenty strong enough.
It’s already a gas hog with that engine, would only be worse with the V8.

big tires tend to do that.

I think they are terrific trucks and would seriously consider a used one. I don’t think they are a good value if you buy new and pay MSRP, like a Tacoma. If buying a Tacoma, you might as well buy new.

I’ve had my 2011 PRO-4X with the 6-speed manual for about a year now. AMA. I love it

They aren’t bad looking trucks, but my god are they outdated. I really wish they’d just bring the new Navara here already.

Now that is one ugly vehicle.
